Deportment of Public Instructions of Karnataka Government for Primary and Secondary Education invites applications for recruitment of Secondary School Teachers and PUC Lecturer. Deportment of Public Instructions is going to fill up 5171 posts through this job notification.

Only Indian Nationals with the domicile of Karnataka can apply and that too before 16th May 2012. Mode of applying is online only and applications send through any other means will not be accepted. All the following posts are for the division of Bengaluru, Mysore, Belgaum and Gulbarga.

3407 vacancies are for the post of secondary School Teachers in Karnataka Government High Schools for the subjects of Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, Urdu, Arts, Physics, Biology. Candidates applying for this post should be above 20 years and even should be below 40 years of age. Graduation in the relevant discipline with the degree of B.Ed is the minimum qualification required for this post. Selected candidates will get salary under the pay scale of Rs.8825-16000/-.

1764 posts are for PUC Lecturer in Pre University Education Department. This post is for the subjects of English, Kannada, Urdu, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Sociology, Education, History, Computer Science, Economics and Political Science. For this post, candidates should not be more than 40 years of age and should be Post Graduate in the relevant discipline with degree of B.Ed. This post is under the pay scale of Rs.11400-21600/-.

Selection will be based on written examination which will be from 23rd June 2012 till 26th June 2012 for Secondary School Teachers and it will be from 9th June 2012 to 15th June 2012.
