Eligibility Criteria :
- Educational Qualification : Candidates applying for the posts of Punjab Civil Service (Executive Branch), Deputy Superintendent of Police, Excise & Taxation Officer, Tehsildar and various other posts need to have bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution and shall be eligible for appearing in the Preliminary Competitive Examination only when he/she has passed the Matriculation Examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
- Age Limit :The age should be less than 28 years for the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police post and 37 years for all the other posts as on 01-01-2012.
- Age Relaxation:The upper age limit is given up to 5 years for SC/ST/BC of Punjab and other state people (except for the post of DSP). 47 years for the Punjab Government/Other State Government/ Central Government employees.
